Urth Neutral Night Lens Filter (Plus+)

Night Filter Plus+

Elevated night photography

Our professional Neutral Night Filter Plus+ cuts light pollution for truer colours and sharper details when photographing at night.

Artificial light pollution creates a warm colour cast when photographing at night. Our coated Neodymium Neutral Night Filter Plus+ cuts light pollution’s warm colour cast to capture truer colours and elevate your astrophotography and night photography.

Our Plus+ range features 20 layers of nano-coating providing easier cleaning and better protection against water, oil and scratches. These layers also provide a higher maximum light transmission and a more consistent transmission curve for sharper images, finer colours and greater depth.

How to use

1/4
Find your filter size

Inquisitively search lens for diameter symbol. Ø often marks the spot. The diameter you seek may be accompanied by a number – Ø58 or Ø58mm. Look to the side and the front – this precious number is your filter size. Be warned: your lens focal length (e.g. 18-55mm) is not your filter size.

2/4
Place flat screw clockwise

Lovingly behold lens in one hand and place flat on lens. Gently screw clockwise until just firm. Do not over-tighten that which goes on must one day come off.

3/4
Cut Light Pollution

Masterfully set exposure settings and prepare to experiment with your white balance. To begin, try using a daylight white balance but, as ever, go forth with an open mind and let the light conditions guide you.

4/4
Loosen up

To keep ones heart young, mind lithe and lens filter safe, we recommend you loosen up now and then. Gently loosen then retighten your filter to avoid any sticky situations.
