Beautifully formed
The graceful curves and slim arc design belie the complex electronics within the F100fd’s tough metal exterior. The unusual bowed design moulds perfectly into your hands and at a depth of only 23.4mm, it’s a perfect fit for a pocket or handbag and is available in two classic colours, Silver and Black.
NEW! Wide Dynamic Range
Dynamic Range, or the gradations of light that exist between bright and dark in any scene, can be easily detected by the human eye, but not by most cameras. Fujifilm first expanded the dynamic range capture functionality on the professional imaging side with its FinePix S3 Pro digital camera.
The technology, now perfected in the EISA Award-winning FinePix S5 Pro, has been brought to the consumer in the FinePix F100fd. Through a combination of advances in Fujifilm's new Super CCD HR VIII sensor and RP (Real Photo) Processor III, this wide dynamic range dramatically broadens tonal capability and guarantees exceptional rendition of photos with both bright highlights and dark shadows.
This expansion of sensitivity captures greater detail, and subtle nuances of brightness and tonality that bring the photo closer to what the human eye actually sees, helping to avoid the 'white sky' effect caused by the loss of fine highlight detail.
Streamlined `Graphical User Interface’
Ultimate control is at your fingertips with the F100fd’s streamlined `Graphical User Interface’. The intuitive icon based interface confirms shooting modes, scene positions, or control settings with brief explanations on the LCD screen. Easy-to-read icon and text description of the selected mode help you choose and confirm the optimum setting for best results. This takes much of the guesswork out of digital camera operation. With less to worry about, you'll have more fun with your picture taking!
Convenient xD , SD and SDHC compatibility
The FinePix F100fd features an xD/SD compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD Picture Card, SD or SDHC media to store and transfer your photos. This will give you the flexibility to buy the card you want, use cards from previous cameras, or choose the media that fits with your other desktop devices like laptops, PDAs or card readers.
Internal Memory
The FinePix F100fd makes it possible for you to get that picture even if your memory card is full. The 57MB of internal memory built into this compact model provides enough storage for up to 88 photographs, (at 2MP setting), and ensures that you will never have to miss that special shot.
Think of it as your internal insurance policy for photo opportunities. With that said, the main storage for images on the F100fd should be an additional memory card, which will allow you to accommodate almost as many images as you like.
