Auto Dog / Cat Detection

Featuring the world's first Auto Dog / Cat Detection function, the FinePix F80EXR will take photos of your beloved pets. Working in a similar way to Face Detection, Auto Dog / Cat Detection recognizes the faces of cats or dogs* and optimizes the camera's settings for wonderful pet pictures. An auto release function can also be selected to automatically take a photo when the pet is looking directly at the camera.

Face Detection Timer Function

Image Processing Function of Multi Frame Composition

With the new Multi Frame feature, just press the shutter once and the camera automatically takes a rapid series of exposures*1, analyzes them, and then aligns them to produce a single frame. In this camera, the Multi Frame technology plays a role in two new shooting modes.

Pro Focus Mode

This focus-bracketing mode emulates the gentle, out-of-focus background look of a DSLR when shooting portraits or macro subjects. A single press of the shutter first takes an exposure focused on the main subject, then additional exposures at different focus points*2.
